This is an entry level Ashiatsu course for licensed/trained massage therapists. The protocol offered in this course is designed as a foundation for therapists to provide general Ashiatsu techniques. More specific work is offered in other courses for when therapists are more familiar with standing on a table, working with their feet, and have experience adjusting pressure and equipment to suit clients’ needs.

EXTENDED SEATED ASHIATSU - $180

No bars or bar installation is required. This course provides skills and techniques to complete a 60 minute protocol of seated only Ashiatsu work for the posterior and anterior upper torso.Upon completion of this course, therapists will be able to work specifically in the cervical and thoracic regions, without having to stand on a bar stool or table, and without having to place the client’s hand on their low back to work around/under the scapula.

This is an Advanced level course. Previous experience using Ashiatsu Bars is required. Bars are necessary to perform all techniques taught in this course.

Prerequisites

  1. Posterior & Anterior Introductory Ashiatsu
  2. Minimum 50 Practice Sessions of Intro Ashi or Basic Level Ashiatsu techniques

This is an Advanced Level Ashiatsu Course. There are physical requirements for therapists and guest clients needed to learn two footed Ashiatsu techniques, therefore pre-requisites set for this course are as follows:

1.     Posterior & Anterior Introductory Ashiatsu and at least 50 practice sessions of Intro/Basic/Beginning Ashiatsu techniques.

2.     Physically capable of pulling up weight into bars; hold 90 degree bend in elbow & at waist for eight seconds; can meet therapist-to-client-weight-ratio = client being 40 pounds heavier than the therapist. (Guest clients needed for this class are required to be a minimum of 165 pounds).
