Tucson Ashiatsu Classes

Location Information

Class Address: Pantano & Wrightstown Tucson, AZ 85715

This location is approximately 15 miles from Tucson International Airport and close to the Mt. Lemmon and Sabino Canyon access roads. The in-home studio is in a residential neighborhood which offers a relaxed class environment, more bathrooms/sinks than commercial spaces, and is near some of the best hiking & biking trails in Tucson. With a location like this, it's like having your own vacation rental 8 hours a day for each day of class!

If you are not driving your own car, UBER, LYFT, or renting a car is recommended.

Cabs are more affordable here than other places, but unless you are staying across the street, you will still need to depend on rides to/from class and to get around town for food, etc..

It’s common to ask other students to share rental cars and/or rides. Those who are local may be able to pick up others on their way to class. Please volunteer if you’re able and "reply all" to emails sent upon registration to inquire with others about sharing transportation and/or lodging. Some hotels have shuttles, so please check with your hotel of choice.

Lodging & Food

We recommend AirBnB.com & VRBO.com for lodging near the class location. Many students find rates as low as $25/night on both and have been very happy with their stay.

Here are some recommendations from 2017-2018 students to try:

“Tucson Airbnb Eastside Serenity” by Jennifer McCain (520)730-1239

“Tucson Bamboo Retreat”

Hotels: There are many hotels in Tucson to choose from, but here are some closer choices, all within 3 miles of the studio -

Ramada Inn -- (520) 886-9595
Comfort Suites Sabino Canyon -- (520) 298-2300
El Rancho Merlita -- (520) 495-0071
Radisson Suites Tucson -- (520) 721-7100

Food: There are many deli’s, supermarkets, & eateries within 3 miles. Grocery stores nearby include Albertson's, Fry’s, and Safeway. Trader Joe’s isn’t too far, about 4 miles from the class site.

You are REQUIRED to bring snacks & meals to eat in. There is a microwave, stove, toaster-oven, oven, and refrigerator for your use. Please have plenty of snacks & drinks as well as your lunch, so that you will not have to eat a larger meal and then give or receive Ashiatsu.

IF YOU DO NOT BRING FOOD, WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO REMAIN ON SCHEDULE. We will be taking plenty of breaks during the day and going outside or for a quick walk if possible, however, leaving the premises is not.
